Since 2018, MP Birla Cement has implemented healthcare programs among the villages that are close to its cement plants. These programmes are based on preventive healthcare, primary medical access and hygiene and sanitation awareness.

Since 2018 to date, we have been conducting regular medical camps to deliver basic health check-ups, maternal and child care services and consultations on common ailments. The company provided necessary medical equipment to the community to meet the critical human needs during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021.

Learning is a key facilitator of sustainable infrastructure in the long-term. Since 2017, MP Birla Cement has been financing education-based CSR programmes aiming at enhancing the learning environment and access to high-quality education in underdeveloped areas.

Since 2018, the scholarships and academic assistance programmes have served to keep underprivileged students enrolled in school and decrease the rate of school dropouts. In 2020-2022, when traditional education was under some disruption, MP Birla Cement gave support on continuity of learning by providing educational materials and online learning support.

Since 2018, the drinking water infrastructure projects have concentrated on improving access to clean and safe water, which is a basic necessity for human health and economic activity. The additional initiatives of sanitation and community creation of assets since 2019 have only added to the enhancement of living standards and social health.
